The organiser's site gives the 2026 season as 27 November to 24 December and the opening ceremony as 27 November at 17:30. The market opens on Nuremberg's Main Market Square, and the site says the opening is always on the Friday before the first Advent.
The site lists daily opening hours of 10:00 to 21:00. A Sister Cities' Market sits on the Rathausplatz, north of the Main Market Square, and a Children's Christmas Market is on Hans-Sachs-Platz. The pre-Christmas fair can be traced back to the middle of the 16th century.
