The city of Dresden's Striezelmarkt site calls the market the oldest Christmas market in Germany and gives the 592nd edition as 25 November to 24 December 2026. It names more than 200 traders, craft workshops on Erzgebirge crafts and the Dresden Christstollen, and a cultural programme.
The opening day, 25 November, runs from 16:00 to 21:00. From 26 November to 23 December the market is open daily from 10:00 to 21:00, and on 24 December from 10:00 to 14:00. The Altmarkt lies in the old town opposite the Kulturpalast on Wilsdruffer Strasse.
